Day 3- The last time my friends and I were all together (-2) was on my birthday and I didn't get one picture of us all together. It probably doesn't even have to be a pic of everyone together. Still day 3 is a fail. On a friendly (haha!) note... I got permission last Saturday to write about a couple of my best friends, Lacie and Nikki.

I am naming this post within a post:

I like girls who like girls and boys who like boys.

It always seemed to me a bit pointless to disapprove of homosexuality. It's like disapproving of rain.-Francis Maude

I am pro Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgendered. I am pro LOVE. I have several gay and lesbian friends as well as family members. So if you don't want to continue reading, then I say you need to check yourself and don't let the door hit you on your way exiting my blog. Thankyouverymuch.

Lacie and I met circa 2003ish, and became best friends instantly. We sat out for hours smoking cigs, catching things on fire, we were each other's sunshine (still our nicknames to this day). She lived above me in our apartments and she was my savior in a shitty, fucking relationship. Like take a butcher knife out of my hand savior. Hey, I was 20 and she didn't want me to spend the rest of my life in prison. Love her.

We lost contact for a little over a year, finding our own way, doing our own things. I was always thinking about her and thank god for Myspace reconnecting me to my wonderful past. Seeing her profile picture with another girl was not a surprise to me, it actually made my heart leap! I knew in our losing contact, Lace had finally found herself and come out publicly. She didn't even have to tell me. Not one time did she need to say "Rashel, I am a lesbian", she knew I knew and that was enough. I think when you love someone you don't give a shit how they run their personal life. As long as you are not hurting yourself or anyone else, I don't care if you have sex with a T.V., let alone another human being. Love is love is love is love.

I say all of this to bring me here. I never knew that with one of my best friends being a lesbian, that I was going to gain 2 best friends. Never in a million years did I think that I would have an equally, astounding relationship with my Lace but also her girlfriend Nikki. Here lately I feel so incredibly blessed by their friendship. They here for me when my house is a complete disaster, my child running around crazy, me bawling my eyes out. It does not matter. They are amazing. I love that they love me, my husband and my child.

Leave your options open. Never turn your back. You never know you might be gaining that one friend you didn't know you lacked.

Love you girls!

The end.
