So at around 11 am I finally got to see my tiny, bouncing bean. Literally, it was bouncing all over the screen. It's for real... I am pregnant. I AM NOT pregnant with twins!!!! YAY!!!! It measured me at around 7ish weeks but I am still going with 8. I know when I got knocked up bitches!
Scout was really excited to see the baby, she said "Awwww it's so adorable" =) She is warming up to the idea now, thank god. I could hardly believe that my "baby" was sitting there on the table with me looking at the new baby. So surreal.
I kept telling Nick, "OH MY GOD!!! We are having another kid!, Do people even have 2 kids anymore? Is that legal? Am I going to lose my mind" it really all came out like that too! One big question that ended with the answers "Yep, Yep, Yep, Yep, oh yeah, for sure you are going to lose your mind" I love my husband.
Everything looked great. I am so happy.
I had gestational diabetes with Scout so my midwife wants me to go ahead and take a glucose test in the next week. I hate that shit so much and I hate watching my carbs too. But ,however, I do love really healthy babies so I guess I can give up most of my chocolate cake.

I am searching for big sister stuff for Scout. I am starting to think she is going to need a ton of encouragement to welcome this new little bean into the world.
Scout is over the top drama. She is the definition of 'only child'. She is the center of our universe, and rightly so I think. She has never been excited about babies, she will say "Awwwwwww!", then try to poke them in the eye or some other shenanigan. I am a little concerned about this. I know we have a ways to go, but two of my best friends are pregnant and we have been talking about babies for a long while. Nothing has changed with her. She did pick out a gift for the new baby, a musical giraffe and a rattle book. We thought it would be a great idea to get her warmed up. We brought it home and immediatly she said "I hate our new baby" and put the giraffe in time out! Oh boy.
This makes me worry. I have been crying myslef to sleep at night at the thought of abandoning my girl. I know I am not, but in a sense I feel like I am. She has had every ounce of my attention since I found out I was pregnant with her. She is a momma's girl to the max. I hate this feeling of trying to make my heart big enough for two littles. I know as my belly grows and I feel this new life move around that feeling will change. I just hope Scout never feels like I pushed her out of the way. I am thinking I need to take a look at the definition of BALANCE again! Hahaha!!

Needless to say maybe we both need some help to handle this new journey!
